What is a Rental Agreement

A Rental Agreement is an agreement or a contract between an owner and the one who is taking temporary possession of the property of the owner, also known as a tenant and owner(lessee and lessor). A rental agreement is made for various purposes ranging from property, boxes, personal belongings, DVDs, appliances, etc. Most commonly used for real estate properties in and around India. Rent under a Rental Agreement is calculated on a monthly basis and usually lasts for 11 months after which it can be extended depending on the owner and tenant. In most cases, a security deposit is to be paid on a rental agreement by the tenant to the landlord and can range from anywhere between 3-10 months of the rental value. A Rental Agreement secures not only the rights of the owner but also protects the tenants from any unwanted claims. Both sides' rights are safeguarded before entering into the rental contract.
